I live in Michigan, married and have two young boys that are just now getting intersted in their dads interest. I began studing an Okinawan martial art in my mid teen years and at 17 became an instructor. I became saved in 1989 and began teaching the Word of God or the Bible in Sunday School in a Baptist church. I also continued studying karate up until my new occupation required a temporary hiatus. Now, after several years,I decided to turn over a new leaf and study the Northern Shoalin Kung Fu system. I taught myself Kung Fu from the Book "Beginning Kung Fu" from Kam Yuen. It took me 9 months to learn and categorize all the moves. This has been a life long passion which led me into karate since there was no formal Kung Fu lessons available at the time. Now older, persistent and armed with an industrious spirit I can now study this tremendously rich art, of which I hope to pass onto my boys and anyone else with the same interest.
